Under more investigation I did fix the fuel sending unit and now that is not working. I wonder if the fuel sending unit and the vts are linked at the fuse?

Swapped the fuel sending unit today and no difference. Does anyone have any suggestions on why either one of these VTS systems work in this boat?

My fuse in rear was blowing , there were left over pieces left over from a broken pickup clip . People double click stop/start while running and break teeth off bendix it jams into pickup .So if that is it ,clean real well . Watch inside- rear of mag cup like a razor. You will need to block up motor with a piece of wood about 4" tall to pull cover. Pickup is supposed to be 200_300 ohms cant remember between 3 wires on stator ohms . Infinite to cover. From all 5 wires

Checked the resistance and pulled the cover. All parts checked out. My attention went to the VTS itself and what else could be wrong to cause this failure. I noted that the speedo was having issues. So by a hunch I unplugged it. VTS fixed! The VTS must have been shorting the system. Hope this helps someone else.

Nope. Fuse is intact. Just because of the paddle wheel on the speed sensor.
