    I'm baffled!! RPM's do not exceed 4,000

I have a 2001 Polaris Genesis I that will not exceed 4,000 rpm in the lake. If I pull the Jet Ski out and put it on the trailer, hook up a water hose the engine will rev to 7400 rpm's. When I back the Jet Ski back into the water, it will not exceed 4,000. I've crawled under the Jet Ski and the jet pump is clear of debris.

    Repairs completed:

    1. New fuel pump
    2. New plugs
    3. New fuel lines
    4. New battery
    5. Cleaned injectors
    6. New voltage regulator (LR-505-2)

Run's great on the trailer. Does not exceed 4,000 in the water. Stumped!!

    Thanks
    Greg

    Stumped

Why did you make the repairs listed? Were you having another problem?
It seems that it would be something in the box that got disconnected or in the wrong place.
    Maybe the wrong LR module?

    Cylinder compression check?

    Fuel pressure check?

    How were the injectors cleaned?
