    Exclamation Finally bought a new ski!

    I bought a new black 2012 FX SHO 3 days ago after negotiating with quite a few dealers for more than a week and asking them to beat each others price. The final price I finally bought the 2012 FX SHO for $14,600 total price that includes a new good quality top of the line large wheel galvenized trailer, new cover and freight,prep, tax and registration and everything else which is out the door total price. I guess if you subtract the cost of the new trailer and cover the total price I paid for the boat total is $13600.
    I also got the 5 year waranty for an additional $600 extra is that a good below average price for the 5 year waranty?
    So did I get a good deal on my new 2012 FX SHO? What did any other owners on here of 2012 FX SHO pay for their new ski?
    I am hoping to finally get the ski in the water and do the 10 hour break in sometime next week.
    I am also probably going to part out my old 2004 XLT 1200 as its without a working engine,so anybody needing parts I might sell them.

    Price sounds good to me, I just paid $21,000 for a 2011 package that is almost identical to yours but there was no option to haggle price etc.

    By package, do you mean 2 skis and a trailer?

    I am finally going to get the ski in the water on Sunday. When I do the 10 hour break in is it alright for the engine if I run the boat for like 4-5 hours and use up most of the fuel in the full tank of gas I have in it now in a single day?,it won't be bad or too much strain for the engine during the break in?

    Nope that should be fine; our Sea-Doos required 10 hours, but the break in on our FZ's was only 3 hours per the manual. Just follow the break-in procedure in your owner's manual and you'll be fine. Congrats on the new Yamaha!

    You are absolutely correct;
    just checked the manual it's 1.5 hrs for each ski (in my case x 2 skis = 3 hours total)
    Our 2006 Sea-Doos required 10 hours each; they may have changed it now not sure.

    After the Sea-Doos were rebuilt, we had to do the 10 hr all over again!
