    pressure testing triples

i yanked the triples out of my ski today in preparation for the engine to be ripped out next for an overhaul. whats the procedure to test the pipes out of the hull? i did search the how to section but couldnt find anything, i think what was there has been removed. all in all its not too bad. took me about an hour by myself to take them out.

All you gotta do is watch the video in that other thread you posted in.

    worked ok for me.
Basically the video shows looping 2 of the water hoses together and pumping pressure in the third hose. This pressurizes the water jacket. If it doesn't hold pressure, use soapy water to test for leaks/cracks on the outside of the waterjacket and around the fittings. The air pressure could also leak into the expansion chamber which would be harder to locate.

Has anyone used a cleaner to get the carbon out of the inside of the pipes? I was going to pressure wash them inside and out to clean them up? Whats a good solvent?

dnt go overboard on the psi you put in the pipes. think its like 10 lbs and should hold for 10 min. mine held for like 15 before i released pressure except one had to be redone. it droped like lb or 2 a minute.
