X-wheel in stock 215 charger worth it?

Hey guys I searched and searched and can't find my answer. I was wondering if a x wheel in a 215 charger will work and is it worth it? I don't want to spend a crazy amount on a new wheel. Found a used x wheel for cheap. If I read correctly I won't have to change anything like injectors etc.. Thanks. Stock boost on a 215 charger is around 7-7.5 right? Just read I will need an X front housing too for the bigger wheel. Again worth it?

heck yes! but you will need to have the back hosing of the 215 charger machined to accept the x-wheel. get the 4" kanaflex and the 42 injectors. this is what i did to my 04 rxp and it's night and day difference, a new wear ring and solas helped too.

just read your signature, i see that you already have the 4"kanaflex, you will need the 42's for sure. you might be the first to x-charge a GTR, which might make your ski a great canidate for prop testing.

Yeah see that too, I read mixed things about not needed 42s, sems like alot ofwork and hassle to switch housings. Would a S3 wheel or green wheel be easier and more benefit?

pm greenbullet on here he is running a et 127 and loves it. fits directly into the 215 housing and makes close to the same boost as an x charger. but you still may need the 42s

I have a x charged sitting in my garage, but it has a trashed wheel. Not sure what happened to it. If you wanted to do a rebuild and put your wheel in it, shoot me a PM.

Still confused, now wondering if just the x-charger, or get a wheel, seems like the x-wheel and housing is a pain.

If you get an x charger you can always eventually upgrade the wheel in it and make more boost.

changing your wheel will void your warranty, so i'd either stick with an ET127 (that way you can put your stock back on if you ever have an issue) or get a complete x charger and keep your stock charger in case you need to put it back on.
it's really not a pain when you need your charger rebuilt, just finding a good wheel and front housing at a good price. the back housing can be done at a machine shop or send it to me and i'll have my machine shop do it.

My shop is good, they won't void the warrenty for that. How much does your machine shop charge?
