300 Hours FX SHO 2010
Just passed the 300 hour mark. Purchased the '10 in February of 2011 and put the time on in 17 months. 3 of those months I was out for shoulder surgery. NO BREAKS... ever. Never been to the shop other than for major hourly maintenance (Jim's Performance did my bolt on mods and 200 hour scheduled maintenance). Original supercharger wheel. The only evidence of wear and tear is the prop is wearing down a little so I'm cavitating a little out of the hole and the hull has some superficial scrapes from beaching, running over gators and logs. I get the opportunity to ride all model skis from the P-X to the Ultra 300 but if I were to buy a new ski tomorrow, I'd buy the same one I have today. 71 mph on GPS still. The ski and I have been all over the state and in all sorts of riding conditions. Yamaha got this one right for sure.

That's awesome! That's why I plan on keeping my skis bolt on only as well. How is the clutch holding up?

Clutch is as strong as when it was new.
At 200 hours the steering and throttle had got a little loose which is understandable. Simple adjustments fixed that.
I got ripped off buying the extended YES warranty so far. Never had to use it. Now isn't that something?

Congrats man, that's a heck of an accomplishment. 300 hours on one supercharger clutch!

No accomplishment I don't think. Maybe luck. Ask the people I ride with and they'll tell you I ride it like I stole it. I know at the end of the day when I"m ready to sell it it won't be worth much with as many hours as will be on it no matter how well it is maintained and trouble free (even with warranty still on it).
I also know that when the clutch goes it will be replaced under warranty (asked my dealer). So why baby it.

Vince, how much does the extended warranty cost??

At the time it was 900 for a 4 year extension. 5 years with the original 1 year. I'm just kidding. I know I'll use it at some point a 900 goes very fast.

Good for you, Vince.
I'm a bit curious... can you give a little description of your maintenance routine over those hours? Like oil change intervals... what does Yamaha recommend in the book and what did you do? Any other stuff you did on a regular basis?

Yeah, it would be nice to know what kind of maint gets you to 300.
