Anyone ever had a bad start switch will not crack with out the lanyard however once it is crinkling it will not shutt off unless you pull the battery cable

    Welcome to Green Hulk!
Interesting first post. Are you saying that once you hit the starter, with lanyard in place, that it starts cranking over the engine... and then keeps cranking over the engine even if you let go of the starter button?? And you can only get it to stop cranking if you disconnect the battery?

Does the engine start when this happens?

I've not heard or read of any issues like this. Does sound like it could be a faulty start switch.

    Cheers!

The msx110 will crank with lanyard, once it is running I pull the lanyard and it does not stop running. With the lanyard off I push the stop bottom , still the ski keeps running. I must pull the battery cable to shutt the ski off.

I have two of the same skis di I took off the other kill switch from the othe ski plugged it in and the exact same thing. The stray stop switch is not faulty because I have tested both. I think it may be some type of relay but have no direction .

    Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the welcome. Looking to surround myself with knowledgable msx owners, techs, or gurus. Inherited the skis and have been doing a lot of reading on the machines. One problem posted about Stratton stop switch hope to get some onsite . The other issue is brass in one cylinder wedged between valve and valve seat, found it via camera. I have read it is from faulty bracket inside intercooler. Hope to get it out and check operation and if worth it get a 150 msx intercooler to solve the problem. Hopefully valves. Of broken or warped. Cannot find any paris dealers in Newnan , GA that will work on the PWC, looking to learn all I can a out the machines.
