damn! Well let me describe it then i guess. PPG sent me some pics of the s/c since Im having the metal washers and RR wheel put on. The inlet of the s/c has nasty salty like deposits on it. The inside of the s/c does also. I injested water a long long time ago and this should not be happening. I have the RIVA powerfilter on.

    Whats the deal?

if you can't figure it out, forward the e-mail to me, i'll post the pics

but what's the deal? ... it's pretty normal for salt water skis that are in just exceptionally salty air, and especially people that are ingesting a little mist of water into the air intakes... as long as there's no damage to the SC housing, who cares... clean it up. cleans off easily...

i've also found that supercharged skis that are running catch cans seems to get nasty quicker... you have no crankcase fumes and oily mist going thru the air intake and thru the supercharger kind of lubricating things and dissolving the salt... in a way the PCV is a good thing to those metal parts to keep them corrosion/rust free.... but that oily mess on the intact tracts slows down the velocity of air

    it's a catch 22

BINO shibby! Its not a bad idea to spray some form of lubricant down the intake tract after use. I use water based silicone spray. For the Riva intake just drill a small hole (large enough for the red straw) into either the top of filter of in the plastic tube. This will allow u to spray coat the intake and sc fan. Now I`m not talking about half the can,,just one or 2 good blasts (like a sec.).
