    Opinion on carbon reeds?

What is the overall opiniion on carbon reeds? Do they make much difference? Is it worth the shortened life span?

People live and breath VF3 reeds. As i understand it you get much better throttle responce. I opted to stay mostly factory and not get them.

Aftermarket reeds will give you some benefit with the throttle response. You have to decide if its worth it for you to have to change them out every 1 or 2 seasons for that extra snap.

VFIIIs last over 100 hours, and will produce 100+ rpm gains

it has been tested and proven over the years

those carbon tech and R&D reeds are the ones that dont last very long

carbon fiber reacts to air and gas different than fiberglass .much faster reaction time and less flutter on top end good with reed stuffers speeds up air flow into case .love carbon fiber
