How do I drain oil out of bottom end sl 650?

I bought a 95 Polaris sl 650 engine seized up. I got it freed up, how do I drain the oil out of the crank case to get fluids I used to free up the cylinders?

    Arrow Maintain first, ride later

Is the crankcase full of fluids?

There are drain plugs down very low on the side of the crank case. On the blue Fuji engines the drains are below the exhaust system.

Be aware that if the crank bearings were seized with rust you could easily be risking a major engine bearing failure at speed. Rusty bearings do not last long at 6,000+ RPM.

See my signature links for lots of other important Maintenance items.

These blue Fuji engines can be very reliable and a lot of fun. However, the key is to NOT first ride it, then do the maintenance later.

Riding an unmaintained machine frequently leads to further damage. And often the failure happens rather quickly, sometimes only seconds or minutes. This is especially true if the machine is new to you and you do not know the maintenance and service history.

Until you inspect, update, clean and rebuild things there are plenty of ways for stuff to break.

Many new members here arrive shortly AFTER their new-to-them watercraft has failed. And they then learn that much of the grief could have been avoided by doing the work up front, before they took it out on the water.

Other than the drain plugs, you can remove the carbs, intake, and reeds to gain access to the bottom of the crankcase.

or you can remove the spark plugs and hit the start button and let it all fly out the top. Wear eye protection and cover the rest of the ski but it works great!

As far as fluids in crank case I don't know what was in it. I bought it as is. The pistons froze up. They tore the heads off and that is the way they left it.as far as I know the only parts I can see missing is fuel pump, and battery. So I poured brake fluid in the cylinders let it set a week then got a peice of wood and pounded pistons free. It appears only one piston was froze up. The very front one closest to gas tank. I cleaned any debris off poured some 30 wt oil in them and worked them all up, and down. Their is no scars,or damage. So now I wanna make sure I get contaminants out of crank case. Is their any advice on what I should do next, or what I should check that may of caused it to freeze up.
