Difference between 06 and 08 timing chains

Does anybody know the difference between the 06/08 timing chains???They both have different part numbers and from my understanding the Engine internals are pretty much the same...Reason i ask is i am going to replace mine on the new engine rebuild.....The 06 has a new retro number and they are on backorder right now and i was wondering why I cant or can use an 08 chain instead......

    Thanks
    sno

Its my understanding that you can only get the 2012 chain unless you find NOS. I could be wrong tho.

The 044 chain is made in the Czech Republic, by who knows who?

The 042 chain is made by Iwis in Germany.

Do I need to even say which one you should buy??

040 or 042 are the Iwis chains good to go with either
