    New 2 Stroke Emission laws in California 36 CFR §7.48 (f)(3) ?????

First of all I am sure I am posting the the wrong thread but this has got me up on my toes. I have heard that this emission law has been pushed a few times before but never successfully. Does anyone know if this is for real this time or just crap?

I don't know what the law reads but you have not been able to buy two strokes in Cali for a while.

36 CFR §7.48 (f)(3) - After December 31, 2012, no one may operate a personal watercraft (PWC) that does not meet the 2006
emission standards set by EPA for the manufacturing of two-stroke engines. A person operating a personal watercraft that meets the
EPA 2006 emission standards through the use of direct-injection two-stroke or four-stroke engines, or the equivalent thereof, is not subject
to this prohibition and will be allowed to operate as described in this section.

Thats what the law reads, but this is chaos, just imagine how many skis are gonna be trashed or sold for nothing. I guess it a good sign for those in other states where old two strokes wont be banned to buy dirt cheap in Cali and bring back home. If this does happen and I dont get my renewal stickers I am leaving Cali, bastards cant take my pride and joy away from me.

Although I may be a dumbass because this seem to only apply to Lake Mead National Recreation Area, after looking up the code of federal regulations.

Yes. It applies to Mead and Mohave. Does not apply to Laughlin area of river thru Havasu.

It is actually a compromise. They wanted to ban ALL ski's. Oh, by the way, 2 stroke boats are okay....WTF?

More lakes in Cali said to be contemplating and I hear Naciemento is next.
