    VXS Intermediate housing lubrication question

Basically, how much grease should I use? The manual is no help and simply says:

    Intermediate housing lubrication:
    1. Lubricate the intermediate housing
    through the grease nipple

    Thanks for any help

I have a FZR I pump mine up @ the oil changes, I fill it slowly till the rubber tube gets hard and cant be squeezed with your fingers , over pumping it up can blow the seal out......i have not had any issues doing it like that

My service manual does not specify the amount either which is bullshit. Is it a 2011 or 2012? The 12's don't have a rubber tube anymore, the grease nipple is directly on the intermediate housing. On my 12 without the tube I pumped in 15 grams for the initial greasing.

Mine are 2011's, with the tube system. The tube is pretty hard now with 100 hrs on the ski's so I'm not sure if I should try to put more in now or not.

there is no quantity since there is no way yamaha will know how much grease is gone.
Just pump it till you can feel small resistance while pumping.

for '11 models, pinch the bottom of the tube with your fingers close to the housing. Pump the grease in until you feel the grease. Then squeeze a pump or two more and your done.
