Thread: Flat batteries

So we havn't had much of a chance to get on the ski's for abit since its winter here at the moment, and after a while of just letting the ski's sit there doing nothing i thought i'd start them up. Both the 09 and 11 FZ's batteries didnt have enough juice to start the engine.
Now could that be due to me leaving both ski's locked with the remote? Does that drain battery power?
I must've recharged my 09s batt about 5 or 6 times now since ive had it...

These little PWC batteries kinda suck at sitting; we use ours all year long here in FL at least once a week, and I never have to charge them and we usually replace them after about 3 years when they wear out. You're probably going to have to set them up on a trickle charger over the winter.

Just get a Battery Tender Junior and some leads for the batteries permanently attached to the battery under seat. Periodically or continually charge them for best results. I always just hook them up the night before I go riding, and they start every time. Really extends overall battery life. Nothing is harder on the batteries than continually letting them discharge and remain flat. The Tenders not only charge but desuphate and restore them to new, which a battery charger just wont do.
