2010 FZS wont start after trailering home from the Marina.

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction...

Went out on the ski all day, no issues...did run into some shallow water and sucked up something that came out after a stop and restart...but thats about it. Pulled the ski out, fired it up with no issues to clear the water box and drove home. Im pretty relentless about flushing the ski, so when I got home I went to flush it and it wouldnt start. Everything works fine...bilge comes on like always, lights ect...12.2 volts sitting there...so the battery is good. But nothing when I hit the start button...It started just fine at the marina #confused.

Anyways, it started pouring so the ski is in the garage drying off. I'm gonna look under the ski to make sure something isnt lodged in the prop when its not soaking wet.

    help?

Is the security system engaged by any chance? Just a thought, good luck.

I gotta chime in with a stupid question!..

I have always owned two cycle skis. Most have primers and start right up on the first crank. Why is it my new FZR cranks over several times before starting? Does it just have to build fuel pressure? It gives me the urge to reach for the choke!!! I am so use to my other skis firing right up....

Ya! The volt meter said 13.2 volts which is good but it seems to turn over slower then a 2 cycle engine which is understandable I guess! I am always afraid the battery is going to die. Just seems like the ski is working hard to start....

We've had six of the 4 stroke skis and every one of them has always started great.
After 25 years of fighting with hard-starting 2 stroke marine engines, outboards, etc., to me there is no comparison. I would never go back to a 2 stroke.
