can I use synthetic oil right after 11 hour break in on a 09 FZR?

Hey skiiers. I just the first put 11 hours on my 09 FZR so can I start using synthetic oil instead of yamalube so early? It seems Amsoil 10-40w is the one. Is that right? Not interested in saving a few bucks - more interested in the life of the motor. Also, I may not be able to change the break in oil for another 10 riding hours because of vacation. Is that bad to leave break in oil in for 20 hours? Thanks!!!!

Yes I run Amsoil Motorcycle oil the advanced 10w40, it has no friction modifiers and will not foam on extended rpms. If your going to run synthetic, make sure it does not have friction modifiers,as that will not be good for the sprag clutch. You should be ok to run to 20hrs but I would try to change it before that if possable

Perfect time to switch at initial 10 hour oil change, as the next far down the road. Put a good filter in it. Love the avatar damn

if the marine is hard to find just buy the motorcycle kind, it has plenty of zinc for rust and corosion protection, it will not foam, and has no friction modifiers and it comes in 10 40.

Nothing at all. It's good oil, just not synthetic. For normal riding it's fine. On the other hand if you ride hell bent for water...

I only run Yamalube in my ski with no issues and I'm pushing the limits I guess you could say.
