    Ultra 250X Problems - Rough Idle, will not go past 25MPH, runs rough

    I am in need of guidance / help with my ski.

    I will give the short version as it is too long.

    2007 Ultra 250X, second owner.
    Two years ago ski ran great.
    It almost sunk due to a hose falling off (freshwater)
    I had it desunk and the ski ran great for some time after.

    One day at the river when squeezing the throttle all of the way, it started sputtering but would eventually get to full speed.
    On turns it would loose power.

    Took it to the shop now MANY TIMES. I am done with this shop as they were ripping me off big time.
    2 super charger belts replaced within 20 hours, new TPS, plugs, etc... pump/impeller work done by ImPROS, The stop would not touch it until the impeller was fixed, so I installed it Sunday and took it out and the ski is running like CRAP.
    Idle is rough, and when you squeeze the throttle once it gets to about 25 it chokes / bogs down. This is very disappointing.

    The plugs I cleaned and are not very old, I ordered new ones but do not suspect that is the problem. Last time it was in the shop they recommended also a "tune up" other then plugs and oil what else does this include?

    Any help ANYONE can offer is appreciated. This is so frustrating for me. I am semi mechanically inclined but this is my first time to have/ work on a ski.

    Look at clear plastic vent tube that hangs down from bottom of air box in front of motor. Does is have oily liquid in it? If so, you may have fouled intercooler. Remove hose to intercooler and look down throat into intercooler with a mirror. If you can see milky or mocha sludge inside ic thats probably your problem. Clean ic, change plugs, maybe back 100%. If ic is clean, then report back and we look elsewhere...good luck.

    I REALLY APPRECIATE the fast reply BIGTIME.

    Previous owner has installed Riva intake. Is the vent tube where ECU is?
    I am looking in front of motor and not seeing any clear tube

    Will report back in a day or two

    no tube or airhorn if it has a riva intake, id replace the plugs and make sure all water is drained from the inlet, s/c, i/c and throttle body. maybe then get the valves checked..

    Got it.

    This week planning to remove the intercooler and clean, will do the rest as well.

    I will take it into the shop for the valves. I live in So Cal if anyone can refer me to a local or mobile mechanic that is good, would much rather go this route then to the large shops.

    I am located in Temecula, CA one + hour away. But I will make the drive if the expertise is there.

    Intercooler removed. Not much to see, some salt residue. One O ring ok, the other not so ok. Ordered replacements.
    No Oil, in fact it is pretty dry to my surprise! I will clean the IC tomorrow.

    Supercharger, is it "Really required" to remove to check for water? What is probability water is in there?
    Let me rephrase, is it a huge job to remove it? It looks like exhaust manifold removal and then what is the level of effort?

    Sc is about a 45 min job to remove 2hr if you have never done it before. Doubt there's water in it seeing as intercooler was dry
