Thanks Kosh, I will check it out in the morning t-storms on the way here.

Great idea, I did not think it was something that could be done without damage.

You know I even put together and you tap on the elbow where the top map sensor sits and you can hear it rattle.

    Regards,

    Hello,

Well I got the TB out and found that the rattle was the drive motor and understand from seeing the same rattle on another TB I ordered that it is normal.

I found a coat of oil on the inside of the TB, cleaned it and worked for a few minutes. The other TB I got does the same and wont learn but just barely opens.

Yesterday when I got home I was walking near the MSX and again could listen to the TB sweeping and there was no lanyard installed.

I wonder if it could be that the PPU sensors are bad as the codes were P0220 & P0225

Thanks again for the pics and your help

you mean it is doing stuff when it is just sitting there all by itself without anyone touching any buttons?

    Hello,

Yes, no lanyard on stop switch and it sweeps throttle and I think it runs the fuel as well. I am thinking it may be something with PPU as the codes we got were P0220 & P0225. Randy at weber told me he will have a setup for throttle for the msx in the next few days. I wonder if this will take care of the PPU system too.

Thanks to all for your help,

Sounds like the electronics are not going to sleep when they should!

I would expect that would run the battery down over time.

I have the battery tender on it know, am a bit concerned about what is really going on in there.

Can the ECU also cause this problem?

We will try again on Sunday, I will check wiring and all plugs again.

    Thanks,

It does sound very suspicious - dang gremlins.
The kit replaces polaris/bosch parts with weber/walbro (both sifb modules, ppu and includes a conversion harness)

Hello, is that what Randy was working on, I hope it works. Who can I contact?

    Thanks so much

Everyone should know Randy at Weberpower has what you need to resolve the PPU pedal problem and mine is fixed. Randy provided me with an update package consisting of a weber pedal position unit and harness that eliminates front sensor. The update takes about 5-10 minutes to install as the only mod is to drill a hole about 1/8 from the original outer position sensor mounting screw as the updated unit is slightly different. It now revs and there is no check engine light on, thanks Randy.
