Looking purchase used 2011 ultra 300x

I'm probably going to get this ski locally from a dealer. It has 12 hrs on it. What are some things I should look out for when inspecting it? I'm pretty sure it's a fresh water ski but are there any dead giveaways that will tell me different? They told me it was traded in for a side by side. The warranty has expired so I just want to be cautious...

I would make the dealer IN FRONT OF YOU remove the plugs. Just in case it was not cared for and a plug is stuck let them screw up and have to pay for the repair. I would also make them give you a new exhaust filter installed. I say installed because you can get the old one. If at 12 hours it is in bad shape you will know if it was a salt water ski and if they took care of the ski. There is plenty more i do but I think this is two important things.

dont ever recall a "recall" but i think you just mean make sure the prop has been torqued correctly

This I would have them do while I am there also which will allow you to make a good inspection of the pump and impeller to make sure no sucked up debris or rocks that damaged anything.

Thanks a lot for your input guys! I'll have them do this before I had over the cash.

Have them do a compression test - 10 minute job.

Looks like you already bought it and now you are noticing a problem... low top speed.
