    96 sl900 ebox problems???????

    okay my ebox is having problems all the yellow wires have the connectors cut off and secondly the circut breaker is not working if i by pass it the mfd will power up, and the start stop switch is not working i have tested the starter and solinoid and they both work. is their any way i can test the coil and stator without the engine i am still waiting on my rebuilt crank. thanks

    Crimp on new connectors. Get a new circuit breaker.

    Yes, 4010447 is the updated CDI and the stator also appears to be the Gen III type.

    And does anyone know what the yellow wires and why have they been cut?

    The yellow wires should all connect together on the yellow terminal of the terminal board.

    They had their connectors ripped off and under the y their is a hole were the yellow wires used to be but I will crimp them all together

    Remove the board and make sure the rivets aren't corroding away. If other terminals are coming loose, you should replace the board. They are around 30 bucks new from polaris.
