2001 Pro 1200 Tripple Pipe Hood Kit

Does anyone have a hood kit or a line on where I can get one for my Pro?

Talk to Lugs. I think he has a kit. I don't think he wants to sell it but he had mentioned to me in the past about letting me me borrow the parts to possibly duplicate it. I have the base that replaces the hinge in the hull, but I will need to fabricate the rest to finish the kit. They are pretty simple parts, and should be rather easy to make.

I have been bugging him for the last couple of months on this. Hoping someone else had a source.

CrazyA had a good alternate solution. He used hold downs like you would find on a Jeep hood, or something similar if you want to go that route.

there more to it then holding it down you need to remove the hood hinge and make a bracket up front to hold it down

The bracket up front is basically a flat piece of stainless with a square u bolt in it that covers the hole for the original hinge. There is then a hook type piece that attaches to the under side of the hood. Where the latch is becomes a pin that goes up through the hood with a cotter pin in it.

How about a picture of this simple device so that I can make one?
