    which to buy...help!

I have to make my mind up today....should I buy an 09 sho for 7400 or an 06 fx140 for 4700? ok, I know most here would go for speed, although thats a plus, and so is the4 age, its also 2700 more....worth the extra $'s? the 09 has @ 80 hrs, the 06 about 120....thanks for any insight!

i would go with the 09 the sho is one of yamahas most expensive waverunners and even if the one your looking at is a few years old it would still be a good deal.

If your not worried about speed why not buy a new VX and get a warranty and low interest rates?

personally im not a fan of buying a used ski.... I would spend a couple of grand more for a warranty and the peace of mind. A motor in a used ski can cost more to replace that you paid for the ski (depending on what ski of course)

Why spend 13-15k on a ski that still can't keep up with an old 2 stroker? 2 strokes cheaper to rebuild and easier

assuming you can work on it yourself.... also the new skis have no problems keeping up with the 2-strokes.

No argument, but for 6k you can have and 85 mph ski that's completely rebuilt. What new 4 stroke does this?

What 85mph ski needs no work and mechanical savvy to be a daily beater? For myself, I would LOVE to have an 85mph. ski. However my mechanical abilities are very limited and unfortunately, most "mechanics" have difficulty working on unmodified skis, let alone one that has be worked on; at least in the NYC area.
