2004 RXP intercooler in 2004 GTX SC?

Hi all. I'd like to install an RXP intercooler into my GTX SC. This looks ridiculously easy with one exception; I don't know how to remove the block-off plate from the intake. Is it epoxied on? Part of the intake (needs to be cut off?) Is it screwed on?

    Does anybody know?

    Nate

Don't remove the cap, simply get another intake manifold from a 215 unit with the IC and clamp in it...

You'll also need the small water line that goes from the IC out to the exhaust manifold...

this looks like what you need: http://www.4-tecperformance.com/inde...roducts_id=889

I'll buy the "plug" from you, or you can buy a 215 intake manifold as Danny suggested for a few $$'s less than the kit and sell your 185/255/260 manifold for about the same $$ as what you just paid for your 215 version Or you could leave your 185 manifold alone and piece together a much better external intercooler setup for around $225 that will give you much better performance.

You can cut the cap off with a hack-saw blade.

Just take your time to cut the glue. I used a long piece of pipe, to help punch the cap off, from the inside, on one of mine.

Ah, okay, so it's glued on or epoxied on. I guess this will be an off-season project.
