    RXPX 2008 and RIVA ECU

    Hi,
wanted to ask if there is someone using RIVA ECU on stock RXP X.
Is it safe to do so not putting in RIVA 50 injectors ?

I used that same combination for a while with Bosch 48s. Use the Boschs instead if you can. There have been lots of reported issues with the Rivas locking up at higher pressures.

The fuel mapping is set for the 50's. You really don't want to try and run stock injectors. I suppose you can try bumping up your fuel pressure to compensate but it is much better to just install the bigger injector. Do a search and you will see that most people will advise against the Riva 50's and recommend the Bosch 48's. I run the Bosch 48's with my Riva ECU and I have zero issues

Is there any gain with the just riva ecu and 48 or 50 pounders? What do these aftermarket ecu do different for a stockish ski?

You will pick up performance and rpm but to take full advantage will require your prop to be repitched to bring your rpms to around 8550. You will also needs at least performance retainers and or the supertech/riva kit.

Yes, the Riva ECU is mapped for advanced timing and different fuel curves as well as a higher rev limit. The higher the engine revs the faster your ski will go. You need to run the 48's () or the Riva 50's () and a RRFPR with the Riva ECU. You will probably need to make some prop changes to take full advantage.

The riva ecu and bosch 50s picked up my lightly modded 08 X a full 2 mph with out repitching the prop or any other mods. See sig for mods n speeds b4 and after ecu. I have since removed the riva 3" front air for a speedfreeks 4" set up. When I ran the riva stuff it had a filter and pre filter on it, now I run the 4" wo any filter. With some tweaks the new intake and cooler less humid air I have run 77.8mph but the temp was 70.1 and humidity was only 41% and Im only 145lbs.
