    is it ok to reuse carb base or manifold gaskets

    They still look good and aren't very old,maybe 2 months old should I use some gasket maker.a friend recommended Indian head gasket dealer,its like a brown Goo u brush on and let it get tacky,anyone ever used this method

    too inexpensive to take a risk. In a pinch..lots of red-high tack spray helps seal em up one last time.

    Never pull carbs without having new gaskets on hand.

    Why cheap out? Gaskets are cheap, replace

    Worst case autozone, etc has gasket material. Just make a trace and cut out with a razor blade. Cheap and local.

    Lol, ive reused. Ive also read others have reused but applied a bit of oil to the gaskets. If your worried and want to make sure absolutely you wont have a problem then i would go new.

    I just rebuilt carbs and didn't have the money to buy new ones and reused them seemed to seal up fine. I would buy new ones if there bad but if you don't have the money and there not cracked and look fine "Just do it" Nike. i would also use some copper spray tack so they'll seal really good .
