1994 Polaris sl 650 jet ski engine swap

hey guys i was just wondering if anyone has ever swapped an engine say from a polaris jet ski to a newer jet ski hull. I was thinking of taking my good running engine from my polaris jet ski and putting it in a newer hull. any info or advice would help ,

    Thank you!

Welcome to the Hulk! Interested in your motivation for a different hull? No title? Trashed hull? Want something different?

Where are you located? I am sure there are lots of empty hulls in good condition that might be a direct drop in replacement for your 650.....

Newer Polaris hull? If so, I Believe you can. I have not tried this myself, but if you get the bed plates from a 96 slt 780, you should be able to install an older fuji motor in a hull designed for a domestic 2 cyl. Only tough part may be exhaust fitment.

    Well, that would be different!

How much power did the original Honda engine put out?

This would be a full on conversion project since almost everything in the Honda hull would not be directly compatible with the Fuji engine. Fuel system, electrical system, dash display, engine mounts, drive shaft coupler, etc...

    Looks like the R-12 was a 4 cylinder 4 stroke 1235 cc 125 HP (non-turbo) 7000 RPM 715lb dry weight monster. That would be a dog with a Polaris 650 in it......IMO.
