    95 Polaris SLT 750 Problems

Just purchased a 95 Polaris SLT 750. Had one bad cylinder when purchased. Tore down, bored out, and new piston rings etc on mag. Also put in triple fuel pump. Took out to try and revs to about 5100 then slows to about 4200 and bogs if you try to give any more fuel. Any suggestions on where to start would be appreciated.

    Welcome to Green Hulk!

You're on the right track. Good choice on the triple fuel pump. Did you rebuild the carbs? Those are the likely culprit from the first blown piston... so you gotta make sure they are good. And assuming stock jetting, make sure your hi/low mixture screws are set right. You also need to inspect the entire fuel system. Check all your fuel lines, return line, fuel selector, filter, water separator and lines in the gas tank.

    Sounds like limp mode.

Is the MFD functional? Error light? Is it installed? Does this happen if it isn't installed?

Carbs and fuel system is most likely what fried that piston in the first place. If you don't fix that you will ruin another piston in short order.

Thanks for the responses. I will change remaining fuel lines this weekend and order up rebuild kits for the carbs. Any recommendations on where to order the parts from.

Get the carb rebuilds from John Zigler at Watcon. He provides you with only the parts you need. Other kits on ebay may seem cheaper, bud do not include needles and seats, and do include extra parts you wont need.

Took another look last night and found a kink in one of the fuel lines. Rerouted and took for a test ride and is close to being good. I am sure rebuilding the carbs will get it back to where it needs to be.
    Thanks for the inputs.
Also wondering if anyone would have a rear grab handle for this machine. If so let me know.
