Any good rec riding around Baytown?

Looks like we are going to be in the area in on Labor Day. Would love to run some of those long rivers/bayous they have down in that area. Any suggestions or rides happening that weekend?

You could head over to Taylor's Bayou. Its about an hour drive from Baytown.

Is Taylor's Bayou a good run? I'd like to hit a nice winding run while we're in the area.

Looking like I am going to be down that way on Sept 15th for BAPWA ride. Anyone riding on the 16th? I'd like to hit that Taylor's Bayou one time.

It was like that a couple of months back too-- Does all that go awayin the winter months ?

From my experience w/the lily in SoLA, only two things generally get rid of lilies: The "right" wind and/or exceedingly fast drop in water levels to move them out: By this, I mean a hurricane. Or... winter. They have a low tolerance for cold weather/water. The winter will kill them.
