    Ouch!! lost another one

So I had this bad bolt hole in my case, lower front carb bolt to be exact. I drilled it out and put in a Helicoil. I reinstalled the carbs and they were a bitch to get in and never felt quite right. I went out ran the ski I had also done some rejetting prior to this so I was still trying to dial that in but could not get right could get the ski up to 6950 rpm but no more. I pulled the pipe at the lake checked things out and saw that my intake manifold had a slight gap at the front. The bolt hole that I helicoiled was off and keeping the intake manifold from sealing properly. so with less than two hours on a fresh motor here is what I have.

Jeff the funny thing is I lost #1 it is the last remaining cylinder from the original ski. The other two are fine this one can probably clean up with acid. I am lucky enough to have a couple more availablle I bought three on Ebay from Law Racing awhile back ago as a spare set. I am installing another set of cases I got and will get this set off to the machine shop and properly repair the hole.

Kids let this be a lesson never rush your chores so you can go play with your friends

Ouch, like bill said if it doesn't feel right it probably isn't.

Got to love nick plated cylinders there so much more forgiving than GP cylinders.

    Scott..........
