Why fuel pressure stays up?? Why why help!!

I need an answer please!! My set up as follow Aeromotive fuel pressure reg, riva tank adapter, walbro fuel pump, reference line plugged, fuel pressure stays up. Before Aeromotive fuel pressure reg, DIY tank set up, walbro fuel pump, reference line plugged, key off pressure gone. Why why just by going with the riva fuel tank adapter??

Did you change regs or just adapter? Aeromotive reg has a check valve that keeps it from bleeding off.

All I did was removed the top part of fuel sending unit with new one and mounted the adapter. Same regulator.

Does the riva adapter have a check valve? I know the stock reg does. FWIW, My pressure has always dropped when shut off but I have seen other that dont. Always thought it was the different regulator valve designs.
