    Lightweight Lithium Batteries?

Anyone use them in the 4 tech? - price is high at 230 but wondering about the cranking performance - weight - 4lbs.

I've used odyssey and had good luck - just wondering if theyreally work

    Thanks

    Tim

Ballistic make a Lithium IRON battery, which is the top end/cutting tech batteries... They are the safest, longest lasting, can be fully depleted and re-charged no problem.
Lithium polymer is a high energy battery... Very susceptible to heat damage, if voltage drops too low it becomes damaged and then can result in meltdown.
Lithium ION is a mid energy battery, safer than polymer, but energy storage depletes with charging... Can be depleted but results in lower energy storage, sometimes can also meltdown but its low risk.

Ballistic is the way to go and have not heard or experienced anything bad about them. Have heard issues with other brands.

AGM is OK but still heavy and will die sooner.

Shoraipower and a few others have had problems in the past unrelated to power source and just simply build quality. Ballistic has a great record and is what we use.

most lithium batteries out on the market use cheap chinese internals. testing had been done on shorai and ballistic. shorai had more cca than ballistic but later they reported problems with the shorai charging posts. the best lithium batteries are the ones that are used in the medical community that undergo rigorous testing and cost a lot more. they are certi ied.
