okay can i tell you from 1st hand expirence

changing the intercooler, intake grate, oil catch can wount do anything to ur speed.

the stock intercooler and intake grate works fine as a matter of fact i think speed was lost when used the intake grate that was two years ago could have changed but not that i no of.

also there is a new product to replace the 4inch air intake system that people are commenly using. by looking at ur photos you got ur ski from melbourne seadoo. speak to the guys there about there new air intake system that works better in performance and reliablity meaning sucking in any unwanted water.

Changing the intercooler and intake grate does do something to your speed. Replacing the stock intercooler with rive will gain anywere from 100-200rpm's = speed, also intake grate, and the stock IC on the 2011 ski's are shit, mine has started to leak and has a tiny core. JPT has done a back to back test and the R&D is good for 1mph on the flat water. I know catch can does nothing i was just listing my mods. As for the 4 inch air, i have never sucked up any water, but i will give them a call to see what this new product is all about.

I am going to be running stock intercooler hoses but the intercooler it self is 30% bigger then the stock. When i get it i will do a comparison. As for the intake grate hi ski was running in the 80mph range aleady. i was trying to find the thread but couldnt sorry.
