unfortunately oversized crankshaft bearings are not an option on the Yamaha engine

Thank you Jerry! It looks like that will have a new crankshaft and you have to order

So what do the bearing color codes mean?

you go by the engine manual and the numbers on your rod's and crank will dictate which color bearing you need for your engine.

Send the crank out to someone like... http://www.chromecrankshaft.com/ you probably come out cheaper and back to original size.

Thank you all! Weighed all the pros and cons and decided to order a new crankshaft.

After extensive measuring to ensure correct clearance of our new turbo engine, with a new block and new crank I can assure you the matrix from the Yamaha manual may not give you the correct bearing colour.
We took the matrix as gospel and ordered the correct bearings only to measure too tight in reality so we ended up at the extreme far end of the scale to get it correct.
Best practice now is we stock a pair of each then order the ones off Jerry that are correct for the block and crank.
