2007 GTX Limited, 17 hours on it, $7299, good deal/good ski?

Friend is looking at a 2007 Seadoo GTX Limited with 17 hours on it. The price is $7299. Do you think the ski is a good deal and an overall good ski? I have never ridden one and wanted opinions from owners. Will be ridden in mostly ocean. Just to confirm 2008+ is when the metal washers were used correct? We are looking to get it down to $6500 no trailer is included, from a local dealer.

$7299 sounds a bit high. Hours are low, but that is not always a good thing on a 5 year old ski. I would offer $6000.

friend has a seadoo speedster 150, built in december 2008, 2009 model, had ceramic washers in it.

i dont know if that 08+ thing is "true", but i might be wrong as it is a boat and not a ski...

seems abit high in my opinion as well..

sitting skis are not always good as 8 is enough said,

ask for papers of the 10hour service and if it was winterized or not.

check the overall condition as well, how and where it was sitting.. (on concrete blocks outside or in a shed on a trailer)

    that kind of stuff.

if you are paying tax on it, it would be a deal breaker for me. i was recently offered a 2010 130gti se with 25 hours for 8 500$.(plus tax)

All X models in 08+ had metal.
Regular 08 models had ceramic on the 1st half of the year.
Boats were changed to metal in 09+

The GTX Ltd. is a great ski, I have a 07 and an 08 Tilt steering ,GPS, extras in the front storage. When you hit the gas, you better be holding on. 6,500 is about right for that ski. Just check ebay and other sorses. Just get the ceramic washers removed. Maby work with the dealer on this. Your not going to find any ski's this time of year, with what that has on it for that price. Maby in Minn. but we ski 365 days.

Id be very worried about an 07 with that few hrs, likely a ski with 100hrs would be in better shape.
