    99 gtx oil locked

I have a 99 gtx rfi that leaks oil when it sits into the case. Any ideas? I heard of bad crank seals but it runs fine.

They are the center crank seals - it will run fine, aside from the plume of smoke until it burns off. Only fix is a new crankshaft.

    +1..

I had this tragic and hard to diagnose rfi ski last year..it would foul plugs when running thru the no wake zone. Ran great otherwise Some hacks installed the engine and just decided to bypass the heat exchanger on the case. They guy spent a fortune on it before we got to the water test part of the game

Well after a long winter of collecting storage money, I got a call for a start up. the pto jug was hydro-locked with oil. Case closed.

I go it running (what a mess) , and as expected, one of the neighbors called the fire department, who then called me and asked what I was up to. ( gotta love a small town right).

No way around his one. the inner seals are well done.

add some automotive engine seal conditioner(the thin viscosity) to the oil injection tank and ride it often for the next few weeks, it works, i've done it more than twice

have a brand suggestion for my not so happy customer?..this is one of the times where going for the snake oil seems like a good idea.

I'd go one better by disconnecting the rv lines from the tank and turkey basting the line full of that crap and then connecting it back up to the tank.

I have also doctored up bad seals with that oil stop leak stuff. I've been using BARS brand. But what I do is loop the rotary line and add the stop leak and refill with 75/90 gear lube. You can still leave the oil injection as is.
