need help with pop off pressure and flame arrestors

01 gp800r with flame arrestors, riva said to run stock jetting and pop off (75psi)and open up highs to 1-1/2 turns out.but even after testing my way up to 3 turns out I'm still pulling white plugs.carbs are rebuilt(mikuni kits, needles and seats)and all fuel lines are new and bypassed selector.my only option has to be to lower pop off but unsure where to set at,has anyone had this issue and what psi should I try to accomplish

I would follow osbill recommendation in the how to section. Like he has said the cookies come out great about everytime and its tried and true formula. My pop-off is down at 45psi but i changed my needle/seat and injectors.

Most pop off pressures I see are around 45 to 55 with aftermarket flame arrestors. I'm not sure what the specific target is for your GP800R is

bills info is always the best, only prob is every post on carbs on here are for triples, which even though my 800 is the same as a pv 1200 with a cylinder gone, only the porting is totally different.I got.the.pop off down to 50 and on the trailer the the throttle response improved dramatically even though I didn't rev it very high, but tomorrow if I can get it in water, then I will know for sure
