    The foam can be cut out in the damaged area, a new piece glued in and reshaped to match the seat profile

    okay does any one know what the stufers do i dont have them on any of my other polaris just on my 97 sl900
    And i ran 3/4 of a tank of fuel thru my brand new engine and i am only at 85 psi in all three cylinders

    Stuffers increase velocity through the reed valves. When you go from the round inlet shape at carbs, to the larger rectangular section at reed valve, it creates a low pressure area, which slows the incoming fuel/air charge. Stuffers reduce this area and keeps inlet velocity up, helping low-mid range power and throttle response.
