    Arp headstuds?

I looked over Rivas install instructions, but was wondering if anyone has done the install? It says to install the studs only hand tight into the block, but it seems like they should be torqued into the block. Any insight would be appreciated

Studs always only hand tight. Rivas instructions are as per ARP's instructions.

+1. I nipped mine up ever so gently with an allen key on top. Once the nut is torqued on top, the stud isn't going anywhere.

I used them in my SeaDoo rebuild and just slightly snugged them with the allen key as mentioned avove. Then torqued them as mentioned in instructions. Get some good ARP Moly Lube or equal like it calls for to get a good torque reading on them.

Torque to 95ft/lbs. 30-60-80-95 as advised to me from Jerry.

What good is a stud that does not go down as far as the stock bolts?
In an aluminum block you need all the threads, not 2/3
IMO throw them in the trash ...I did
It is clear to me and others that they were not made for the 1500!

if i remember right, the toque specs on a harley head stud was only 10ft/lbs, the stud dont really have to be over tightened into the block, but i believe it should be more than hand tight...... just my thoughts.....

Check out page 42 of ARP's 2011 catalogue.

    Step 3.
.................................................. ........ Screw in hand tight ONLY.

They get correctly torqued when you torque the nut on.
