Who's Got the Most Hours On a 250/260X?

I know this gets asked occasionally however I hadn't seen it in a while.

I've got 175 trouble free hours on my '07 bought new in '09. Original supercharger belt and pump bearings. Had the 100 hour service done at 125 hours last summer. I did have fuel dilution of 3.5% at 29 hours which thinned the 40 W oil down to a 10 W which isn't good. I usually change less than that will go no longer than 25 hours as oil and changes are easy and cheap.

i actually liked my 08 better than current k12 300x..atleast the hull any way..i wish they would have done all the updated trickes in 300 in my 08 hull..
the 08 was so much better in medium to high chop..much better felling of being locked in..and the bow sway or wiggle from cross chop bugs the death out of me on this 300,,will be doing a ride/intake grate combo soon, hpefully it changes everthing,an it should but be honest i do not like the light feeling of this k12..dont let your 260 go anywere, keep it

Dang Benjahw . . . 390 hours on the same engine? Wow! I wish I had gotten your 260 instead of mine (if I had I would probably be on a 300 today).

You need to search around. We have quite a few members that are not on the forum any more. I know Commadore Tom I think was his screen name had over 400 when he sold his. Very few problems with his. There are quite a few more also. Not every owner of these skis are forum menbers. As you can see reading through thwe thread topick the only time people come on here is when they have a problem. Think about how many people have these skis and how few have posted. This forum is not at all a good way to judge the reliability of a ski. Barely anyone will create a profile and come on the forum just to say Hey I have a ???? ski and really enjoyed it all season with no issues. In this section we do not have performance mods to discuss. People are not chasing that extra 1/2 moh. We are not siliconing our ride plate holes to try to get the edge. We just don't have those types of things to come on here and talk about. The only thing I would need to start a thread about if I were just a regular owner of a ski is to get some help with a problem because the ski is either out of warranty or the dealership is no good at repairing the ski.

I just turned 200hrs on 2009 260X. I have replaced a few parts, and had a few tows, but Kawi has stood behind product and I remain thrilled with my ski. Major dings and scratches but I still love OEM paint and graphics. The only other ski Id seriously consider is 300, but, probably not unless or until my sweet lil 260 says she is ready to retire and move someplace warm.
