Why is it taking Yamaha & Seadoo so long to use GPS speedometers?
I noticed Honda had one a few years ago on their top-of-the-line model, you can get a simple Garmin GPS for less than $100 nowadays, so I'm assuming the actual GPS chip is 1/2 that, surely the $50 cost difference can't be turning them off, can it? I would think most users would easily pay the difference to get an accurate speedometer?
Could the 70mph USCG speed limit be the reason? with GPS, manufacturers could more easily enforce the rule right? and they don't want to restrict what most users buy jetski's for, the speed..

Really unless it had the same features of an aftermarket GPS, I personally would end up using one of them anyway.
