You have an aftermarket reed spacer plate, that spaces the reeds out 3/8" or so more than stock. Those are the gaskets that seal the plate to the engine block. The stock reeds have rubber on both sides that seal them to the block(or in this case the plate) and the reed plate on the outside. Block, those gaskets, thick plate, reeds, thin plate, reed plate/intake gasket, intake, carb gasket, then carbs. Note this setup uses longer bolts than stock, and you have to use very light torque on the little screws between the carbs. use locktite on them. If overtorqued, they will cause leaks.

Ok what torque should I use on all of the little hex head bolts? Who all sells these gaskets?
What sealant/gasket goes between the thick plate and thin plate?

What sealant/gasket goes between the thick plate and thin plate? The reed cage goes between them, it has rubber seals built in both sides, use a light bit of grease.

I have been referring to stock reed cages. Things may be different if you have aftermarket reed cages. Where and what are they?

Since there were no pics of the reeds and you stated looking in the service manual, I assumed you were using the stock ones. I do not use the V force so I what I have stated may not apply to your setup. There are some threads referring "how to" on the VF reeds and sealing in the how to section.

AND also start another thread to put all these questions to have them all in one place, that`s a thought!

if they are foam cover metal shim, then they are Cometic gaskets, if they are paper, then that`s what come in in a VF3 kit.

research more, bullshit less! it`s ALL here on many forums...

at this rate your post count will surpass Beerdart, and I assure you he knows what he`s doing!, bwahahahaha...lol...
