4" intake without filter, but with windowscreen, mosquito net, panties etc, show pics

I would like to see some pictures of your setup when it comes to 4" with screen instead of filter. My fizzle/spectre has started to rust

I was hoping not to see the panties when I opened this thread. I don't want to see any that can fit over a 4" intake. There are special web sites for that kind of stuff.

How did you get the stock Airbox out? did you remove the fuel pump and pull it out from the front? What about those rubber straps that hold down the airbox to the tank? did you have to get shorter ones?

To make up the space of the old airbox under the straps, just slip in a short length of PVC sewer pipe. It doesn't add much weight and it's white.

I removed the fuel pump to remove the airbox. The toughest part was reinstalling the gasket for the fuel pump cover. A little trick that worked great was to pop the gasket in the freezer for 15-20 minutes. It makes it shrink a bit, and stays put easier while you line everything up to screw the cover back on.

Tie a knot in the black tank hold down strap and it makes it shorter,
you have to make a bracket for the rectifier for some models,
you can use a 30 x 30 s/s mesh that meets USCG codes if you want to go that route,
