im trying to find the best way to make an air intake system.....if i run a hose to the top of the sotrage box like a lot of guys are is there any way that i can keep the water out of there?.....if not whats another good way to make one, fans?

read last reply on that post. If you taper you will also be cooling because of condensing. In other words you could actually take engine compartment air and have it cool itself. Won`t be easy but safer than having a ram effect with water ingestion.

Here are a few pic's on how I did my GTX SC. Used the flexible Grainger 4" tubing from the S/C to the front storage. Drilled swill cheese holes under the hood cover and everything runs great with no water injestion at all. The only thing that I do not do with this set up is submaraine. Even then, not sure how much water would actually get in. Nevertherless, I removed the plug on the bottom and if my hull fills, I just flip on the bilge.
