    Possibly Buying Pro785 or Pro1200

Hello all, some of you may remember me.. I'm looking to buy either a pro785 or a pro1200 that has been worked on a bit (pipes, carbs, reeds etc.) looks like it may have been a Watcon job, however, the head covers look to be stock (not sure on the domes yet). running pipes and carbs is this a recipe for issues in the future? i know the one piece headcovers are more rigid especially with the extra pipe weight. What do you guys think?

I've been riding a Honda R12X and Yamaha GP1300R and nothing compares to my little 1200 slx...need to get back in the Polaris game!

Could you make connector bars similar to what is used on the 700s if you cant get a one piece?

I would assume so..not to hijack your question but i can get my hands on a one piece. i was just wondering about what the possible outcomes of too many hours with pipes without any sort of stabilization would be. The way this one is set up is the stock domes and head covers with a brass adapter out to the hoses that exit the hull. There isnt even the standard cooling bar on it.

there fine witout the one piece head and like bryan said you can get tie bars from the 700 motors if you wanted to as long as there not running high compression you'll be ok

I think I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on a 785. Looks like a pretty good deal. Sounds like its close to stock minus an aftermarket ride plate, mechanical trim and intake. Only problem is I've never had or worked on a Fuji engine or an engine with valves. Had a couple domestic 1200's a couple years ago and know those engines very well. I'm just a little worried I may be getting into something too much. Any thoughts?

I have looked around here and havent really found an answer for this. Would it be worth it to spend 150 bucks on vforce 2 reeds and cages? I know they make a nice difference on the domestic triples but was wondering about the pro 785? If they dont make too much difference i'll spend the extra money on something else.
