ss intake grate vs r&d grate

is there a gain in using the ss grate over the r&d on the fzr. Ive been looking an didnt really see anybody using them do the r&d grate break at high speeds like on the gp/sho conversions i havent heard of a grate breaking so is there a gain somewhere when using the ss grate

Probably about 90% of the FZR/FZS people here are running the R&D. There haven't been any breakages that I've seen here. I know the GP's and Kawi 300X grates have had a problem with breaking, but they have a lot less "meat" around the mounting holes than the FZ grates do. The R&D grate (and maybe the TBM) grate is the only one that hasn't had any bucking issues.

I gained a 1/2 mph when I switched from a riva to the r&d! I havnt noticed a difference in holeshot but have really back to back tested them either
