    Fall mudbug water level

How is the water level going to be? Do the locals think it will be high wilth all the rain the Mississippi River got? Is it too early to tell yet?

    Fall mudbug water level

It's a bit early to tell, but the water is about two feet above normal. I imagine it will go down to a normal level by the end of the month

Above normal or above where it was? Wasn't it at least a foot low? Hopefully we won't have any no wake zones!

    Fall mudbug water level

Above normal. It should drop down to a normal level in the next couple weeks.
There shouldn't be any extra NWZ's and the lilies are gone from the bridge by the spunky monkey.

Mike, how is the smell around town or out on the waterways? I know we had a local kill, but I don't think it was as bad as Andrew (if you're old enough to remember that).

I wasn't quite born yet for Andrew. Lol
Bayou pidgeon was bad for the fish kill, and it ran down through belle river. I was out on the water Saturday and it still smells a lil, but it's bearable. It will be all clear by this weekend for sure.

OK. I ran into Jacob Landry (Swamp People) the weekend after the storm and he said there was dead fish "up north". But I didn't know how far up north he meant. If it wasn't wide spread, then it should be done in about 2 to 3 weeks after the storm is right.

Andrew was so bad it was unbearable even driving through PP on 70. I didn't go down to the camp after that storm for nearly 6 weeks.
