    Need some quick alignment advice

I've got 3 shims under each motor mount. The OEM & SBT shims both come with 1.3mm thickness for each shim. Right now if I don't touch the bearing bellow the alignment shaft will come in just a hair too high (looks like slightly less than the thickness of one shim). The Sea-Doo shop manual says never to go above 5mm thickness in shims. If I add a 4th shim I'd be at 5.2mm total thickness.

Left to right I'm good, But I'm probably .08-1mm off vertically. But there's also a bit of play with bellow and the shaft tool hanging out of it. Do I add an extra shim and violate the 5mm rule? Or could this slight off vertical centering be attributed to possible play in the shaft tool and/or bellow? Is the amount I'm off, small enough to be considered negligible?

The bellow and pto bearing have nothing to due with alignment. Its all about pump and engine coupler.

But the receiving part of the alignment tool has to go through the PTO bearing correct? With mine I can wiggle the receiving end of the tool just a bit. Or am I doing something wrong?

Remove the bellow and bearing and align it to the crankshaft coupler.

That worked better. Still off by just under the thickness of one shim. Motor is sitting about 1mm too low.

    Appreciate the tip BTW.

If I do that, I'd have 2 shims in the front and 3 on the sides. Is that normal? Two have different number of shims under different mounts in the same ski?

Number of shims does not matter shim to get the tool into the coupler without restance.
