    1 cylinder low on compression

    Hello,

I recently did a compression test on my 2011 rxpx with about 40 hours on it. Two cylinders were 150psi and the third was 130psi. The low cylinder is the closest to the supercharger. Is this normal/
something I should worry about? Any tips on tracking down why it is low?

    Thanks
    mike

Put a teaspoon of oil (seadoo motor oil or equivellant) In that cylinder rerun the compression test on that cylinder if compression goes up look piston on down no change, head up. I think my motor was 140 135 135 . Little concerned with 20 psi off. Does it run ok or a miss.

My same cylinder has low compression too, but my ski is running great. Does anyone know why this same cylinder would have a lower compression than others?

It runs great, had several upper 70mph passes on the lake this weekend, was just shocked when it came in low. I'll try the teaspoon of oil in the cylinder and see if it goes up

I know this is an old thread but ski has been put away for winter and now i'm just getting it ready for this season of riding. I pulled the stock 2011 intercooler just to check it out as I have read about them leaking and sure enough there was water in the air section... not good! Could this have been the cause of the low compression on the 1 cylinder. The cylinder that is low is the closest to the intercooler so I figure any incoming water was heavier and was pulled into that cylinder.
