Honestly i couldn't tell...i didn't see the broken off tip anywhere. but if i had to guess, id say hood area. \ My local seadoo stealership is 90 miles away.

somewhat good, there's a hole in the hood where the shock attaches too. Simply drill through whats left of the shock and use a nut/bolt and attach to the hood.

This has also happened to me twice... 2013 RXT-X as 260... The t-connector on the shock is a serious design flaw and extremely week... I drilled a hole on what was left of the connector and eventually that too broke. I told my dealer this was a flaw and the are giving me grief saying that they have never seen this happen before... I am glad to hear I am not the only one to suffer this failure. The second time the shock failed it also damaged the hood assembly mounting points... now I'm totally screwed with a $70 sock and a $260 hood assembly part.... This thing is a serious POS... I will be disputing this under Seadoo warranty

My friend went thru two of this in 3 weeks on his '14 RXT....First shock was cover under warranty after he called Seadoo directly ,another ones on owner expense.
