Pop-off pressure, Which spring to use?
Hi guys. I am finishing up rebuilding my carbs. I am not sure what to adjust the pop-off pressure to. The springs that came out were gold, which I beleive are 115gram. The Mikuni rebuild kits I bought came with the shinny silver springs which should be 65 gram. My GP1200R is stock. I may put in a free flow in the exhaust while it is apart. I might add flame arrestors but haven't decided if I want to do it yet. My goal is to get this thing on the water before it gets too cold. Then, depending on how it performs do more mods over the winter. Should I use the shinny silver springs, or put the original gold springs back in?

Now that I think about it, the springs that came with the Mikuni rebuild kits are almost chrome in color.

The springs in the kit are 115gr,stock pop off should be in the 70-80psi range

So I should just use the 115 springs if I am keeping the ski stock?
